Chartered Accountant

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, auditing, and tax planning, and will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of our organization. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage complex financial tasks and provide strategic advice to enhance our financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounting Team: Lead and supervise the accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
• Implement Accounting Systems: Develop and maintain effective accounting systems and processes that align with organizational goals.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Auditing: Conduct internal and external audits to verify financial records and ensure adherence to established policies.
• Budget Management: Create, monitor, and analyze budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while ensuring the organization’s financial health.
• Client Advisory: Provide expert financial advice to clients regarding tax planning, compliance, and risk management solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and practices to ensure the organization remains compliant.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; an Honors degree is preferred.
• Professional Certification: Completion of Articles; must be registered with an accredited statutory body (e.g., CPA).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, FreshBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities to effectively convey complex financial information.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data critically.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in providing strategic financial advice or working with corporate clients.
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) or generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
